Ongoing Training Course for Drivers of Heavy Goods Vehicles

Framework:

After five years from the date of issue of the CAM, it is necessary to renew it through a training course lasting 35 hours to continue the activity of driver. Training is mandatory and must be acquired every 5 years before the expiry of the CAM.


Preconditions:

For the pursuit of the occupation of driver of certain heavy goods vehicles by road, it shall be compulsory to:

- possession of the driving licence for category C vehicles drawn up before 9 September 2009.


Goal:
Ongoing training shall aim at updating the knowledge fundamental to the driver’s activity, with particular emphasis on road safety and the rationalisation of fuel consumption.

Recipients:
This training shall apply to drivers engaged in the performance of their duties who are close to the date of validity of their MCC.
