CAM – Quick Initial Qualification Course for Drivers of Heavy Goods Vehicles

Framework:

Decree-Law No 126/2009 of 27 May 2009 imposes the compulsory training and certification of drivers of certain road vehicles for the transport of goods.


preconditions:

For the pursuit of the occupation of driver of certain heavy goods vehicles by road, it shall be compulsory to:

Driving licence endorsement for heavy goods = Category C


Goal:
The aim of this qualification system is to improve the safety of both road safety and the safety of drivers themselves.

Recipients:
This training shall apply to self-employed and employed drivers and shall be aimed at ensuring that drivers are qualified, both in terms of access to the driving activity and in the exercise of the lifelong function.
