Framework:
According to psychologist Jaime Silva, coaching is a psychological exercise that "became hip" and had a great impact in the late 1980s, following "Black Monday" in the United States that led to the closure of thousands of companies, leading to mass unemployment of executives. Many of these experienced executives that became unemployed, later became coaches for younger executives, thus giving rise to 'coaching' as an alternative of personalized skills training. Thus, more and more professionals and companies that talk about coaching have emerged, which means the concept has become generalized for widely differing areas of business and intervention contexts. Accessible to any individual who wants to evolve and improve results, coaching presents itself as a powerful tool of personal and professional development, with a view to promoting change.
