Framework:

Decree-Law No. 126/2009 of May 27 imposes mandatory training and certification of drivers of certain road vehicles that transport passengers.


Requirements:

For the exercise of the profession of driver of certain heavy passenger road vehicles, the following are mandatory:

Complementary driver's license for heavy passenger vehicles= Category D


Goal:
This qualification system aims to improve safety conditions regarding both road safety and the safety of the drivers themselves.

Recipients:
This training applies to self-employed drivers and drivers employed by others and aims to ensure the qualification of drivers, both in their ability to drive professionally and the exercise of this role in a lifelong capacity.
