The beginning of Carristur – Coordinating Transport at Expo 98
1999
Carristur expands into the area of tourism due to the acquisition by Carris.
2000
Incorporation of Training into its business
2002
The beginning of operations in Madeira in partnership with Horários do Funchal (Urban Transport Company in Funchal).
2003
Acquisition of the company “Transportes Turisiticos” (Tourism Transportation) and the respective trains that used to operate in Belém and Parque das Nações. Later this company gave way to CarrisBus.
2004
The beginning of operations in the cities of Porto and Coimbra in partnership with local transport operators (STCP and SMTUC)
2006
Launch of the Braga tour in partnership with TUB (Braga’s Bus System).
2008
Launch of an hourly car rental service in Lisbon – Mob Carsharing. Acquisition of the Quality Management System (QMS) Certification
2009
Launch of the Yellow Bus Official Sightseeing Tours Brand
2010
First training entity in Portugal to be fully recognized by IMTT (Institute for Transport and Mobility) for Driver Qualification. Opening of a training centre in Lisbon and Funchal
2012
Launch of the Guimarães tour with the local transport partner Arriva. The beginning of Carristur’s autonomous management in Porto. Carristur – New Visual Identity.
2013
Launch of the New Belém Tour Route
2015
The beginning of operations with regards to cruises and the launch of the Yellow Boat Official Sightseeing Tours brand. Launch of the Castle Tramcar Tour and collaboration in a partnership project for covering two trams in cork.
2016
Carristur Driving School Opens
2017
Launch of operations in the Azores in S. Miguel. Acquisition of the boat Princesa de Belém to reinforce operations in the River Tagus. Arraiolos Carpet Tram

Launch of the Belém Tramcar Tour
